The all-aluminium engine, featuring a 48V mild-hybrid setup, is said to be soother and more refined than previous similarly-sized diesel offerings from JLR. It is a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged unit (P300) that makes 300hp at 5,500rpm and 400Nm of peak torque between 1,500-4,000 rpm.
